In a significant development for African mineral resources, Millennial Potash Corp. (TSXV: MLP) has announced remarkable drilling results from its Banio Potash Project in Gabon, demonstrating the region's growing importance in strategic resource development across Central Africa.
Record-Breaking Mineral Intersection
The company's latest drilling results revealed an impressive 101.45-meter cumulative potash thickness with high-grade carnallitite mineralization averaging 16.8% KCl. This discovery, made in drillhole BA-004, represents a significant milestone in the project's development, similar to how resource developments are reshaping African mining landscapes.
Strategic Implications for Regional Development
Farhad Abasov, Millennial's Chair, highlighted the consistency and continuity of potash cycles in the project area, with some cycles reaching grades of up to 29% KCl. This development positions the Banio Project as a potential major contributor to regional economic growth and sustainable development.
Technical Details and Quality Assurance
- Seven distinct evaporite cycles identified (Cycle II to Cycle VIII)
 - Total mineralization of 164.76m averaging 11.86% KCl
 - Rigorous QA/QC procedures implemented with SRC Geoanalytical Laboratories

Future Prospects and Resource Expansion
The discovery extends known potash mineralization to approximately 8km, potentially adding significant tonnage to the current Mineral Resource Estimate of 657M tonnes (Indicated) and 1.159B tonnes (Inferred). The company plans to update its resource estimate following these encouraging results.
"These consistent and remarkable results reinforce Millennial's confidence in Banio's potential to expand its current Mineral Resource Estimate and highlight the project's exciting development trajectory," stated Farhad Abasov.
