LG Targets Global South to Double Revenue by 2030
LG Electronics is making a decisive shift toward the Global South, targeting a doubling of combined revenue from India, Brazil, and Saudi Arabia by 2030. The South Korean tech giant views these three markets as the foundation for its next growth phase, moving away from stagnant advanced economies.
Strategic Pivot to Emerging Markets
Company CEO Lyu Jae-cheol described these regions as the absolute forefront of LG's long-term strategy. The combined revenue from these markets hit KRW 6.2 trillion in 2025, marking over 20% growth compared to 2023. That growth rate is more than double LG's global average in the same period.
Against a consolidated global revenue of KRW 89.2 trillion last year, these three markets currently account for roughly 7% of LG's top line. Aeron Kim, IR Communication Team Leader at LG Electronics, explained that this pivot is a direct response to economic headwinds in mature markets.
